Lazlo

Hi! My name is Lazlo and I am Eunice's first piano student!

I started learning piano with Eunice back in 2015 and I loved showing her around my house to avoid playing the piano. I would offer her some chocolates and drinks in hopes that she will be distracted from teaching. But over the years, I learnt that piano playing is so much more than just sitting at the piano. Learning to be disciplined in the most basic warm ups, making sure that I practice during the week even though I might have lots of homework from school and breathing before playing to calm myself down. One of my favourite pieces that I play nowadays is Clair De Lune and I hope you enjoy it too.

Fun fact! I started learning with Eunice when I was 9 years old and we are also 9 years apart!

Louna

Hi! My name is Louna and my mum learns piano with me when Eunice comes over to our house!

My mum thinks its important to learn something new even in the busy moment of working so she decided to learn piano with me when we first started!

I love disney movies and I decided to play "Under the Sea" because I think it is a very fun song. When we were choosing our attire for the concert, I wanted to wear my mermaid tail (swimsuit), but I won't be able to walk up to the stage so we decided to let it go and wear a Elsa dress instead.

Elior

Hi! My name is Elior and I am Eunice's youngest student!

I am 6 years old now and I started playing the piano because my 2 elder brothers started learning piano first and I wanted to learn too! I used to sit in the living room while Eunice taught both my brothers and every time their lesson ended, I would run to the piano before Eunice leaves and play something that I heard over the week.

Dillion

Hi! My name is Dillon and I was the first amongst all my siblings to start learning the piano.

I am now 8 years old and I started learning the piano around the age of 4. I started learning in a music school and it was a group lesson. But I did not really enjoy it (its quite boring).

Eunice: Then how about piano lessons with me?

Dillon: **nods head & smiles**

Eunice: ~phew~

It was not easy to remember 3 variations of "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" but now, I am able to play without the score as I memorize the song.

Hakuto

Hi! My name is Hakuto and I am from Tokyo, Japan.

I like to play video games in my free time. Recently, I have been very busy with school and just had a major exam so now i am enjoying my time by playing video games and piano too. My favourite musical instrument is the piano because I like the sound of piano. My first performance today will be related to video games.

Mikoto

Hi! My name is Mikoto and I am Hakuto's younger sister.

When I first started learning piano from Eunice, I could not reach the floor with my feet. But now it has been 2.5 years and I am almost same height as her. I learn some english in school but very little so most of the time, I laugh in class because Eunice tries to use actions, facial expressions and sounds to show me how to play the piano.

We chose a song by a Japanese composer because I love how beautiful the music sounds and I hope you enjoy the music too.

Mrs Seetoh

Hi! Eunice calls me Mrs Seetoh, but my name is Li Mei and my passion is singing, dancing and playing the piano.

I am someone that is usually afraid of public speaking so initially when Eunice asked me to perform, I declined the invitation. After a few weeks, she made a joke about how piano playing is not "public speaking" because I did not need to address the crowd and my back would be facing the audience when I play the piano. Along with much encouragement, I decided to give it a shot as it sounds fun.

I hope you all will find joy in the music I am playing today as it brings "Joy to the World"

Sabrina

Hi! My name is Sabrina and I am a client of Eunice.

Funny story about how I got to be invited to perform tonight:

Eunice is my financial consultant and one day during our financial review, we were talking bout my expenses and I told her my expenses went up because I decided to go for piano lessons in a school as I have always wanted to learn the piano. Recently, I also bought myself a digital piano as I no longer want to use a keyboard so that added to my "big ticket item" expenses.

Eunice extended the invite as she thought it would be nice for me to have a chance to perform. Since we are in Singapore Chinese Culture Centre, I will be playing a chinese song.

Chuan Seng

Hi! My name is Chuan Seng and I got to know Eunice back in university where we both met through a German language course.

Perhaps it's fate: we both met during a German language course, but coincidentally also went to the same university in exchange at Denmark Technological University and after graduating, we still kept in contact. I decided to pick up piano playing and just took my ABRSM Grade 2 exam in September earlier this year while Eunice also continued learning her piano for her diploma.

The item I will be performing is one of my exam pieces. Daydream.

Jun Hao

Hi! My name is Jun Hao and I am Eunice's colleague.

We met through a training and after speaking for a bit, we both realise it was our dream to open a music school. I initially did share with Eunice that in the past, I was usually quite nervous to play the piano in public, and didn't have many chances as well.

So here is me taking up this challenge to perform in front of a crowd once again.

Daniel

Hi! My name is Daniel and I am Eunice's colleague.

The inspiration of my item started because of another colleague's wedding. I wanted to have some fun at his wedding so I offered to do something out of the norm and got the approval of the groom. Eunice and I both attended that colleague's wedding and fast forward to today, Eunice held on to that idea and asked me to replicate that again.
